can't enter game, stuck at pick skills screen

When I enter a server i select my weapon and armor and click checkout, and it brings me to the skills screen.

I select lower recoil and better accuracy, but then I can't click any of the 3 buttons at the bottom of the screen. I believe they are reset, checkout and one more.

If you change your resolution, you will have to restart the game.

i have the same problem but changing resolution did nothing to rectify the situation.

You don't need to change resolutions.

If you are stuck at the skills screen, it is most likely because you changed resolutions or video settings. In order to be able to get passed the skill screen, you simply have to restart your game.

From what I've been told, in rare instances where restarting the game doesn't work, you can also type "menuselect 0" and "menuselect 1" in the console when the weapons/skills GUIs come up. I haven't personally verified this workaround, but it can't hurt to try it.
